Possible Apple will release iPhone 5 in the upcoming Fall

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

There is not two months after rumors about the launch of next generation iPhone bustling about, and now new details about the design and launch the next generation iPhone back in circulation again.

5 reported that the iPhone will be launched in the autumn of 2012 or the third quarter of 2012. Launch time is similar to the time of the launch of the iPhone 4S, and not in accordance with previous reports stating that the new iPhone will be launched during the spring or the first quarter of 2012.

The source also added that Apple will use the material of plastic or rubber to bezelnya. Plastic or rubber will automatically cover the redesigned antenna that surrounds this phone but is not affected by interference from the user's hands.

In addition, the new iPhone is likely to be taking a four-inch screen, although not yet be confirmed or refuted by the source of this BGR. On the iPhone 5 is also said to be installed back plate of aluminum but without the plastic, such as the iPod and the iPad.

IPhone prototype 5 with a larger screen and a new design actually had planned to launch in 2011 but it was canceled and then replaced the iPhone 4S to avoid fragmentation of IOS for different resolutions and screen sizes.

HEY PARENTS - Why Your iPhone Addiction Could Be Hurting Your Child In School

Sunday, November 20, 2011

In the 1960s, behavioral scientists Betty Hart and Todd Risley found through research that children of wealthy parents tended to have better reading comprehension than their peers with lower-income parents, because wealthy parents talked to their children more.
But that advantage may soon be flipped on its head, as technology consumes the attention of wealthy parents, who can afford it, and their children.
In The Good School : How Smart Parents Get Their Kids the Education They Deserve,, journalist Peg Tyre writes about how children now play on the screens of iPhones and iPads while their parents send a few dozen text messages and work related e-mails, therefore inhibiting the conversations between parent and child.
Research shows that the more a child is spoken to, the better his or her reading comprehension. So in short, playing with your Blackberry instead of talking to your child can put your child at a disadvantage in terms of learning to read.
"I hate Angry Birds," Tyre said of the popular iPhone game. "There's no reason children should be playing it. ... I do very much worry, knowing what we know about language development and children being dependent on hearing and speaking words to expand vocabulary that playing with all these devices will inhibit that."
"Handing kids the Angry Birds game to keep them quiet, I'm not sure people understand what's truly being lost there," Tyre said.

Gmail For iPhone Is Back In The App Store

Friday, November 18, 2011

Google just relaunched the Gmail app for iPhone in the app store. In a blog post announcing the release, Google says it fixed the error in the original app that blocked it from displaying notifications.

Unfortunately, it looks like that's all Google fixed. As we noted in our review of the Gmail app, it's missing a ton of critical features such as the ability to check multiple accounts at once.

However, Google did say in its blog post today that more features are coming soon.

Sony CEO accidentally reveals secret details about iPhone 5

Sir Howard Stringer, CEO of Sony, accidentally told everyone in the world that his company will be supplying image sensors for Apple's iPhone 5. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal's Walt Mossberg, the Sony chief was talking about earthquake damage to 15 of the Sony's factories in Japan, and inadvertently mentioned that a camera sensor made in one of those plants is on its way to Apple, and that sensor would be delayed because of the quake and tsunami. Stringer didn't specifically say that Sony is building an 8-megapixel image sensor that will go into the iPhone 5, but since Sony is currently not manufacturing any image sensors for Apple, this confirmed that Sony plans to supply components of the iPhone 5.

This points to the distinct possibility that in the iPhone 5, Apple will no longer be using those OmniVision 5-megapixel image sensors currently inside the iPhone 4. This is supported by an analyst's report from February of this year saying that OmniVision might lose out on supplying cameras for the iPhone 5 because OmniVision's 8-megapixel sensor won't be ready for the iPhone 5's rumored mid-summer launch.

Because Stringer was talking about the irony of supplying the company's best camera to Apple, we can only surmise that he was talking about an 8-megapixel sensor. Here's what The Wall Street Journal wrote about Stringer's quote when reporting on its own event this morning:

Early on, he raised the irony of Sony supplying camera components for Apple devices. It "always puzzles me," he said. "Why would I make Apple the best camera?" It is unclear what devices he was talking about as Sony isn't known to supply key camera components, known as image sensors, to Apple; A Sony spokeswoman declined to comment and an Apple spokesperson couldn't be reached for comment.
